"My mom raised me exclusively on thrift stores as a little girl and taught me to look for new shapes and feel for quality fabrics. It's exciting for the eye to see something different, so I look for shapes that are not common ... An outfit looks great when it's a little unfamiliar."
Photos from Refinery 29's interview with Francesca Dimattio. Dream home, bright blooms everywhere, natural light, quirky details. (PS Her braids have colored scarves woven in. Cool.)
Bought a wide-brimmed brown hat just like this after seeing these photos. Wore it in the rain yesterday. Beats an umbrella anytime! (and it cost $5 in the Urban Outfitters massive sale section in their West Broadway store). Now just need to find my a vintage red sweater like this one too.
